Recently I coached an entrepreneur who was completely stressed out.. From the outside, she had a beautiful family and lots of friends. And yet internally, there was a constant feeling of lack.
“I didn’t get enough love when I was growing up.” She stated in our first conversation. She was 50 years old.
On good days, she felt unstoppable. Other days, all she wanted to do was hide away from everyone, including her husband. More than once she has expressed “Life is so hard. I don’t know how much longer I can do this.”“What is this?”
“This life.”She didn’t see that her life was like a hamster on a wheel.
I ask a hamster, “What are you doing?”
“I am running.” Hamster would say.“Where are you running to?”
“Uphill.”When the camera zoomed out, we would see that the hamster was just running as fast as it could on the wheel, completely unaware of its behavior.
What is uphill? Is it the wealth, fame, big houses, money in the bank, security and significance? What if there is no uphill running? What if there is only let go?What if we exchange FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) with JOLG (Joy of Letting Go)? What happens if you just let go. Really try it. Even if just for a day. Our mind is constantly nagging and chatting. Who doesn’t have a chatting mind? I know that I do but I’ve learned to only acknowledge it and not listen to the chatter. It is still there. It is part of me, but it is not dominating my life. We all are beautiful. I am not talking about our personalities, our images.
I am talking about the inner self, the I AM.
I AM FAITH,I AM COURAGEI AM LOVEI AM WISDOM
Who are you?
AND, What happens if you just let go?
